Make Home A Better Place & Unplug!
Here at home I was inspired to double check if I had any electronic stuff needlessly plugged-in. You may ask, "why bother"?
The electronic equipment plugged-into every room of our home[s] emits waves of energy in subtle ways. These dozen of electronic waves whirling around us are invisible, so we tend not to understand the affecting they have on us in possibly negative degrees. These waves have an impact on our mind and bodies. One way to refine our homes is to take check every once in a while to insure we are living in the most fabulous environment we can manage to maintain.
I will admit to you, these quirky urges hit me when I first wake up from a fabulous night sleep. I think these brilliant ideas come from some far off place where little angles want me to have a better life and impregnate me with thoughts while sleeping. This way when I wake up, they get a kick out watching me run around and do just as they expect.
Look around quickly I noticed how I'd become use to my new head phones connected to my desktop computer, where my calls come in on my $20.00 a year magicJack land line
As busy Lifestyle Coach, 90% of my work is on the phone, so use of headphones has become the way I take all calls. While home my cellphone is not in use, except to take a call and ask the caller to redial me at home. Cellphones are a microwave product, reducing microwaves while home makes sense.
So I was able to unplug two phones. One on my desk and one in the bathroom. This had a three step of improvement. #1. improve my home environment by reduce the electronic waves, #2.lower my cost in electricity, #3 reduced the energy they need pull from our planet. BAM all is better.

What is Temperance?
What has my attention today is the word Temperance and the crazy connection this has to the 14th Major Arcana tarot card, which is also Temperance. I've been reading the Major Arcana for over 27 years and feel like I just set my eyes on this card for the first time.
How this got started today was reading page #124 of the book Good Without God, by Greg Epstein. He shines some light on Seligman and Peterson who did extensive research on human virtues. Seligman and Peterson read everything they could get their hands on and came to 6 broad virtues or clusters of virtues, that came up again and again in may types of lists from many different sources, which are: wisdom, courage, humanity, justice, temperance and transcendence.
Upon reading these 6 I got on the computer to look up the word and was shocked to see it specifically related to consumption of alcohol or the abstinence to alcohol. Over and over the word Temperance was used even as far back as to it's root to this matter.
But as I bounced around to other sites and delved deeper into the meaning I found a charming, mystical meanings to Temperance were all also related to this word/card that focused on a much broader level of a persons everyday life style. To say the least I'm fascinated and will be talking about it all day.
So now you know what's on my mind for the 2010 festive gay pride weekend here in Long Beach, California

Good Without God
Review on the book God Without God
by Greg M. Epstein.
Religion should provide and create equanimity for people. However religion creates a complex condition where the rigid demands cause people to stifle or doubt the development of their sensual and intellectual esteem. Humanist look to be grounded and focused in way's that make so much sense, and where there is plenty of room for personal growth laced with significant moral and ethical fundamentals.
